Politician response to the attempted assassination of Gabrielle Giffords

Some unhinged assbag decided that ending the life of one politician was a way to make a statement. He made a statement, only I think it is a statement he didn’t intend to make. It did, however, provide an opportunity for the nutjobs who continue to find themselves interviewed on Fox to further refine what it means to be a dick. And, yes, women can also be dicks.

Jumping on Sarah “Gunsight” Palin, she comments:

My sincere condolences are offered to the family of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords and the other victims of today’s tragic shooting in Arizona.

On behalf of Todd and my family, we all pray for the victims and their families, and for peace and justice.

Aside from the runon second sentence (“We all…justice” is a separate thought from “On behalf…family”), what good will praying do besides make yourself feel better? And how hypocritical for Palin to wish for “peace”?

Michelle Bachman:

My tears are flowing, and I am stunned and angered that Gabby Giffords was savagely gunned down while performing her congressional duties. I am praying for Gabby, and my thoughts, prayers, and deepest sympathy go out to her family, as well as the families of each of the victims.

Gabby Giffords governed with integrity and wisdom. We came to Congress together and I had the privilege of knowing her as a friend and colleague.

It is my hope and expectation that the coward who carried out this horrific act of violence will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. I extend my hand of friendship to her family and staff and will keep them in my prayers.

Michelle, Aren’t you a saint yet? With all of these prayers, I’d think that you and jesus have a mano-a-mano relationship.

I am unconvinced that she is “stunned and angered”, since her rhetoric against all that is liberal is loaded with violent innuendo and doubletalk.

John Bohner:

I ask that you on this Sabbath day that we keep Gabby and her staff in our thoughts and prayers. The thoughts and prayers of the House and the nation are with Congresswoman Giffords and her family. We’re also praying for the families of Judge Roll and all of those who were taken from us yesterday so senselessly.

This is as emotional a time as any, and Boner didn’t shed a tear.

I wonder when some third-rate journalist will ask Christine O’Donnell her thoughts…
